*ONLINE* Physiologic Birth Training for BIRTH WORKERS 2023

This event is for BIRTH WORKERS only. If you are an RN, please refer to our general Physiologic Birth Training for L&D nurses. You won't want to miss this once-a-year experience!

We believe that YOU deserve this information as much as nurses do! Together with your client and medical team, you can help their labor progress, give them tools to maintain control and confidence, and troubleshoot hard labors. You make a huge impact on the patients you care for and deserve to have all the tools to help give them the best labor experience possible, with the best outcomes. We want to give you PRACTICAL, realistic tools to help you help your clients, which is why we have adapted the nurse's version of this course for you as a doula! 

Sarah is back for another 8-hour training, designed for doulas working with clients during labor in the inpatient hospital setting. It will provide the information necessary to help promote physiologic birth and/or interact with various labor patterns/interruptions through nonpharmacologic options. Scope of practice will be considered. 

This course promotes birth as a normal, physiologic process for the majority of birthing people, but recognizes that there are common interruptions in the birth process that can have an impact on the ultimate mode of delivery. Upon successful completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to support and better help facilitate physiologic birth with the client and birth team, to meet the desires of the laboring person and accomplish a vaginal birth. This workshop will be presented through multiple activities, getting you up and moving, lecture, videos, visuals and discussion. 

Everyone who attends needs to purchase their own ticket. Even if you are on the call with somebody else virtually, you may NOT share registrations.

Be sure to wear comfy clothes & come as you are! Feel free to eat and drink during class, we are super chill and just want you to be BLOWN AWAY by how much you learn! It's going to be FUN!! 

As a prerequisite to this class and to better understand what will be taught, we recommend taking a childbirth class and coping with labor class to have a basic understanding of the birthing process. This will not be discussed at length. This class will teach the foundational basics of physiologic birth support and will equip you to "speak the same language" with Bundle Birth Nurses, work as a team and help strategize how to best support your clients. It is entirely taught from a doula/birth worker perspective and will not teach within the scope of an RN. If you are a labor & delivery RN please refer to one of our nurse trainings. 

This is a LIVE ONLINE training, it will not be available to watch after the event has finished. Mark your calendars!

You will earn 8 CEs upon completion of this training from the California Board of Registered Nursing - which likely applies to your doula certification.

This is a live event, we are working on recording the class but cannot guarantee this at this time (although we're doing our best), please prepare to attend live and limit distractions as it is a LOT of information to digest. We understand that many of you may be on-call for clients during this time, so the recording will be available to you and no refund will be offered.
